My family has roots in New Jersey since before the American Revolution.

My father was a career US Army officer that served this country in both World War II and the Korean War. He has always been my hero that knew the meaning of sacrifice and service.

A signal corps officer, He was assigned to the Pentagon as a Major in the Army, so I spent part of my childhood in Washington D.C. as my father served our country. He eventually retired as a lieutenant colonel and continued on as a defense consultant for a Pentagon.

He passed these lessons onto our family. Both of my brothers went on to follow in my father's footsteps and join the US Army.

My oldest brother William finished his Army career as a Lieutenant Colonel. He served in Vietnam as a "Intelligence" commander.

My brother was never allowed to speak about what happened in Vietnam. But I know what he did was important and that he was proud to serve his country. Even as it cost him everything.

He died of cancer caused by overexposure to Agent Orange, a chemical used to burn the jungles in Vietnam. On his death bed, he told me a little bit about his service in Vietnam.

His last wish was for me to sew his Black Operations patch to his uniform inside the casket. It was the first and only time he was allowed to wear it.

William left me with one final lesson: What sacrifice really meant and what freedom costs.

The Democrats today have no respect for the sacrifice of the military and their families. In fact, socialists like the Squad and Norcross want to see our military weakened!
