H. Tang (THU), Y. L. Hua (PMO, CAS), M. J. Liu, W. D. Zhang (NAO, CAS) on behalf of the Einstein Probe (EP) team Queries: ep_ta@bao.ac.cn Posted: 14 Jul 2026; 09:50 UT Subjects:X-ray, Binary, Neutron Star, Transient We report on the detection of a new outburst in X-rays from the low-mass X-ray binary GRS 1747-312 by the Einstein Probe (EP) mission. The recent rise of its X-ray flux was first detected by EP-WXT at 2026-06-30 16:16:34 (UTC). Since then, the source remained bright in the X-rays with a flux of a few times 10^-11 erg cm^-2 s^-1 in the 0.5-4 keV band. GRS 1747-312 is located in the globular cluster Terzan 6, and is known to exhibit regular outbursts around every 6 months. EP-WXT previously detected ~month-long outbursts in 2024 July, 2025 March, and 2025 July. Launched on January 9, 2024, EP is a space X-ray observatory to monitor the soft X-ray sky with X-ray follow-up capability (Yuan et al. 2022, Handbook of X-ray and Gamma-ray Astrophysics). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Password Certification: Yuan Liu (liuyuan@bao.ac.cn) https://www.astronomerstelegram.org/?read=17891 ============================================================================== ============================================================================== This is an automatically-generated notice.
