셸은 명령을 실행하는 운영체제 사용자에게 인터페이스를 제공하는 프로그램입니다. <app>top</app> 또는 명령행 셸이 될 수 있습니다. 기본 셸은 보통 <app>Bash</app> 입니다.

입력을 기다리는 대신 시작할 때 명령을 실행하도록 <app>터미널</app>을 설정할 수 있습니다:
