<title>Eliminar ficheiros e cartafoles</title>

If you do not want a file or folder any more, you can delete it. When you
 delete an item it is moved to the <gui>Trash</gui> folder, where it is stored
 until you empty the trash. You can <link xref="files-recover">restore
 items</link> in the <gui>Trash</gui> folder to their original location if you
 decide you need them, or if they were accidentally deleted.

 <item>Seleccione o elemento que quere eliminar premendo sobre el unha vez.</item>
 <item>Press <key>Delete</key> on your keyboard. Alternatively, drag the
 item to the <gui>Trash</gui> in the sidebar.</item>

The file will be moved to the trash, and you’ll be presented with an
 option to <gui>Undo</gui> the deletion. The <gui>Undo</gui> button will appear
 for a few seconds. If you select <gui>Undo</gui>, the file will be restored
 to its original location.

Para eliminar ficheiros permanentemente e liberar espazo no computador, debe baleirar o lixo. Para baleirar o lixo, prema co botón dereito no <gui>Lixo</gui> na barra lateral e seleccione <gui>Baleirar lixo</gui>.

 <title>Eliminar de forma permanente un ficheiro</title>
 Pode eliminar un ficheiro permanentemente de forma inmediata, sen telo que enviar primeiro ao lixo.

 <item>Prema e manteña a tecla <gui>Maiús</gui> e logo prema a tecla <key>Suprimir</key> no seu teclado.</item>
 <item>Xa que non é posíbel desfacer isto, preguntaráselle se quere eliminar o ficheiro ou cartafol.</item>

<note>Os ficheiros eliminados nun <link xref="files#removable">dispositivo extraíbel</link> poden non ser visíbeis noutros sistemas operativos, tales como Windows ou Mac OS. Os ficheiros seguen aí, e estarán dispoñíbeis cando conecte o dispositivo de novo no seu computador.</note>
