<title>Paikallisen tulostimen määrittäminen</title>

TIetokoneesi kykenee tunnistamaan automaattisesti useita erilaisia tulostimia, kun tulostin kytketään tietokoneeseen. Useimmat tulostimet yhdistetään tietokoneeseen USB-johdon avulla.

 Sinun ei tarvitse valita, asennatko verkossa vai paikallisesti toimivan tulostimen. Kaikki tulostimet näkyvät yhdessä ikkunassa.

 Varmista että tulostin on päällä.

 Liitä tulostin tietokoneeseen sopivalla kaapelilla. Tietokoneen näytöllä saattaa näkyä toimintaa, kun tietokone etsii sopivia ajureita. Tulostinajurien asennus saattaa vaatia salasanan syöttämisen.

 A message will appear when the system is finished installing the
 printer. Select <gui>Print Test Page</gui> to print a test page, or
 <gui>Options</gui> to make additional changes in the printer setup.

If your printer was not set up automatically, you can add it in the
 printer settings:

 Avaa <gui xref="shell-introduction#activities">Toiminnot</gui>-yleisnäkymä ja ala kirjoittamaan <gui>Tulostimet</gui>.

 Napsauta <gui>Printers</gui>.

 Click the <gui>Unlock</gui> button in the top-right corner and enter
 your password.

 In the pop-up window, select your new printer. Click
 <gui>Add</gui>.

If your printer does not appear in the Add a New Printer window, you may
 need to install print drivers.
