<p>The <strong>NEUTRONIX SYSTEM</strong> is based on a project which has its cornerstone in an in-depth study of stray electrostatic currents. The purpose of such study is to understand to what extent this type of current can negatively affect work environments and workers.</p>

<p>Static charges originate whenever there is friction between two metal or plastic bodies. Such contact generates electrostatic charges (of different intensity and potential according to the size of the bodies and duration of friction).</p>

<p>This physical phenomenon tangibly occurs during a number of manufacturing processes such as paper-making and the production of plastics and metals (extrusion processes, thermoforming, welding, etc.) and in the textile industry.</p>

<p>All work environments containing material cutting, pressing, welding and handling machinery (transport rollers and chains) produce partly static energy.</p>

<p>The negative effects of the electrostatic currents are numerous and affect both the operating machines and the workers because:</p>

<ul>
                    <li>they create a slowdown in the production processes that prevents using the plants to their full production capacity;<br />
                    <br /></li>

<li>they damage the metal structures of the machines and accelerate the ageing process;<br />
                    <br /></li>

<li>in the case of machinery for working plastic or metals, electrostatic currents tend to accumulate in these materials which, being in an electrostatically active condition, continue to attract dirt and dust. All this results in reduced product quality, high cleaning costs and a consequent drop in output.<br /></li>

<li>they create very difficult work conditions because the static charges (in the event of their intensity being very high) are conceived by the operators in the form of troublesome electrostatic "shocks".</li>
